June Sprints® 2009 Reserved Competitor Parking Information

The Chicago Region SCCA, in cooperation with Road America, is again offering a reserved paddock parking system for the 2009 June Sprints¨ competitors. Due to the fact that the 2009 Runoffs are at Road America, there may be last minute changes in reserved parking assignments.

Guidelines

Reserved paddock parking is available to registered June Sprints® competitors only.

  • Preference for pavement parking will be given to the following low clearance classes FB, FE, FC, FF, CSR, DSR, S2, FA, FM, GT1, GT2, GT3 registered by the late registration date of May 22, 2009

The driver still needs to pay for the space when registering and needs to be registered by 11:59 PM CDT May 22, 2009. If the driver is not registered by May 22, 2009, the reserved space will be released to be used by the Parking Committee.
  • A reserved competitor parking fee will be assessed for each reserved parking space, in addition to the entry fee. The reserved parking fee varies depending on type of space as follows:

Sponsors are assigned competitor parking spaces in advance at the discretion of the Sponsorship Chairperson.
  • The parking fee is assessed per space regardless of the number of racecars. At a minimum, three racecars are required in each Paved Paddock space, two racecars in each Upper Paved Paddock space and one racecar in each of the Competition, Reserved North and Turn Five spaces. It is the competitor’s responsibility to fit their vehicles and equipment within the reserved space. Chicago Region reserves the right to reject reserved competitor parking applications that do not conform to these requirements.
  • Reserved parking applications must list three choices for parking spaces. Every effort, including Email, phone and fax will be made to notify you of your site assignment or to get additional choices if the original ones are unavailable. In addition, reserved space assignments will be included with the competitor credentials at registration.
  • Groups that wish to paddock together and require more than one space must submit all parking applications together to insure that adjoining spaces are available. Parking spaces will not be held without a registration and parking application.
  • Paddock parking, either reserved or unreserved, is exclusively for competitors and their equipment. If a motor home is parked in a paddock space and it is used for overnight accommodations, Road America charges and will collect a $75 motor home parking fee in addition to the SCCA competitor parking fee.
  • Each competitor will be issued a Competition Paddock Pass for one support vehicle. A pass must be affixed to the vehicle you use to go to and from the track and must remain on the vehicle while in the reserved paddocks. Parking for guests and non-essential support vehicles will be available in designated areas. Please don’t park unnecessary vehicles in your paddock space.
  • Canopies are ordered through Road America. Road America will only erect canopies on reserved paddock spaces assigned by the Chicago Region SCCA or in the designated unreserved parking areas.
  • Chicago Region reserves the right to reassign reserved spaces if they become available during the weekend.
  • Competitors who are not in their designated reserved parking place by the end of their race group’s first qualifying session will forfeit their space unless they have notified Chicago Region of late arrival. To notify us of late arrival, please email jerrymeyerscca@aol.com with subject “Reserved Paddock Late Arrival”. After that time, please leave a voice mail at (219) 838-9232 stating that this is regarding late arrival at the Sprints, your name, car number, class, and when you expect to arrive.
  • Road America and Chicago Competitor Reserved Parking Committee Staff will assist in placing you in your assigned location.
